UseIPv6 property

Determines if wodSSHServer uses IPv6 protocol.

Type

A Boolean value

Syntax

  • Basic
object.UseIPv6 [= value]
The UseIPv6(object,value) syntax has these parts:
objectAn expression evaluating to an object of type wodSSHD.An expression evaluating to an object of type wodSSHD.
valueA Boolean value.

Remarks

UseIPv6 determines if component will use IPv6 socket stack addresses to listen for incoming Telnet or SSH connections. For local interface definition it will accept both numeric values, such as
    fe80::213:20ff:fe91:5bb5
but also fully qualified hostnames that resolve to local IPv6 addresses, such as
    www.google.com.sixxs.org
When you supply BindIP property value, only specific IPv6 interface is used for accepting connections. If BindIP is empty, all IPv6 interfaces are listening. In order to use IPv6, your version of Windows needs to support it. To install it on Windows XP, right-click on your 'network connection interface' icon, select 'Properties', and then check if
    Microsoft TCP/IP version 6
is listed. If not, click on 'Install' button, choose 'Protocol' and then locate above from the list. If IPv6 stack is not installed on the computer, this property is ignored.
