Cannot connect over SQUID proxy server?

Problem can occur if SQUID isn't additionally configured, so most squid's will only allow connection from outside through 80 and 443 ports by default configuration. Probably will not allow you  to make connection to outgoing port 22. 
Our suggestion is to contact your server administration and check this out.
