Multiple clients and Compression (General questions)

by Hamed, Tuesday, April 02, 2013, 00:04 (4035 days ago)

Hi,

1) I know wodVPN is a peer to peer component but I want to use a channel for more than one client, Is there anyway, imagine I want to use Port 446 from my IP static server is it possible to create a channel from my Computer Number 1 and create another channel from my computer Number 2 ( means two different computer connects to a single port on server)?
I know I can handle this by using multiple wodVPN with different listening port on server but it's very important to use a fixed single port on server

2) Is there any compression option with wodVPN? If you can add PPMD and Deflate compress options to your component that would be great,

3) When I use full redirect using virtual network it seems my connection is faster than when using a channel, is it true?

Thanks in advanced,
Hamed

Hi Hamed,

Let me try to answer to your questions:

1) I'm not sure that this is possible at all. If I unstained your correctly you want to forward two services from two clients on one port on server. That will not work at all.
If you want to do opposite than I don't see which problem you have? In that case wodVPN should work without any problem.

2) Unfortunately we don't have compressions option inside wodVPN

3) Did you try to use MTU Property? That could probably help to speed up wodVPN when using port forwarding.

Hope I helped.
