Mediator in diffrent network (General questions)

by lwc5202 @, (4655 days ago)

Hi
I put the Mediator sample which has public IP address.
It works if the peers on the same network can get the remote ip and port, but not works on the diffrent network.
How can I do ?
Thanks a lot.

Hi,

Can you please provide more details? What exactly works or doesn't work ?

The mediator? What fails? Search, or connect?

The mediator did send out the ip and port ,but both client seems like can't get ip and port from mediator.

This is the client's log (ID:Receiver123):
1.STATE Listening
2.Searching for Sender123
3.STATE Searching
4.STATE Linking
5.STATE Listening
6.Please Try again...1460...This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

This is the mediator's log:
1.[Connected]FromID:Sender123, ToID:Receiver123
2.[Connected]FromID:Receiver123, ToID:Sender123
3.[Exchange]FromID:Receiver123, ToID:Sender123
4.[Connected]FromID:Sender123, ToID:Receiver123
5.[Exchange]FromID:Sender123, ToID:Receiver123
6.[Disconnected]FromID:Sender123, ToID:Receiver123

Hi,

Can you try disabling firewall, just to see if that helps?

Hi,

I'm actually referring to client side firewall. Can you try disabling it just for test?
