Hi Berry,
Are you referring maybe to how Wippien works? Actually wodVPN is used for p2p connections in Wippien.
You cannot do that using only wodXMPP.

Yes, you don't need to use wodXMPP for P2P connections. wodVPN is sufficient.

Berry,
wodVPN is using peer to peer connection. So there is no need to use any server at all.
Why don't you download wodVPN and check our samples inside wodVPN Samples folder.
