let's start with adding the property for each file in the wodAppUpdate activex. How would you name this property, and what type would it be to make it easy to use? I was thinking something like

File.Permissions( Everyone ) = PermRead+PermWrite+PermExecute
File.Permissions( Owner ) = ....
File.Permissions( Administrators ) = ...

is that something you had in mind?

I'll see about supporting compressed config file. Do you have sensitive data inside? Do you need to encrypt it as well?
