Uploads stop after around 15% (wodSFTP / wodSFTP.NET / wodSFTPdll)

We are uploading to a sftp server. The connection succeeds, and we start to upload the file. After a very consistent amount of upload the connection is terminated with an error "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". Any ideas as to avenues to pursue.
