DebugFile - WeOnlyDo Discussion board

DebugFile (wodSSH / wodSSH.NET)

I've been able to use the .DebugFile property for a long time. But since upgrading versions I can't get any output. My specified debug file is not created. Has something changed in this regard or do I need to keep looking for a personal failure?

Hi Mark.

I don't know exactly which component you're referring to. But in any case, DebugFile is undocumented internal property, used only for our own debugging. We put inside special debug dump that depends on what we're (possibly) fixing in the component.

Since wodSSH(.NET) is pretty mature product, we have removed all of the debugging since it slows down the component, thus you get mostly empty files.

We have used that to debug client interaction with the service for a long time. Its disconcerting that it has just been removed. You may use it internally to debug, but we do too.
