hello,
when i try the demo of wodVPN, it dosent seem to do anything,
im using the vb6 simple sample, tried on 2 machines.
Output displays--->
Search This operation returned because the timeout period expired
any ideas?

Hi Dan,
Did you click Search button on both forms?
When you click 'Search' on second form, both peers should find each other, and after that 'Connect' buttons should blink.
Can you check that out please?

Hi Dan,
I have just tried VB6 sample and it works for me without any issue. I manage to successfully connect to other machine through wodVPN.
Do you maybe have some firewall on some of machines? Can you please try to disable it and try again? You should disable also Windows firewall.

i had a some time to test out, it did work once!!!
(with windows firewall ON)
it hasent worked since again, even if windows firewall
is Off. I am quite interested to use this software, now
that i seen it work (once) but how can i debug(test it out)
to work better...

Dan,
If it works once than it should probably work all the time. Maybe you change your code and broke something.
Can you please delete Samples folder (on both machines) and re download wodVPN install it again and try VB6 sample.

hello,
i compiled and tried the vb.net version and it seems
to work fine.
When i run it, it dosent come up with your logo,
as in the vb6 version, also the vb6 ersion has a
crash error on exit,
what are the limitations of the demo version?
also, would this work if the Client was a WM6 device?

Dan,
The demo popup isn't displayed always. That's probably the reason why you didn't receive it in VB.Net.
As for the error/crash that you're mentioning, I really can't tell since you didn't specify anything about them. The component should work in the same way in VB6 as in VB.Net.
The component *as is* now doesn't work on WM6. We could probably rewrite it to accomplish that if really necessary. If so, you should write us an e-mail to techsupport@weonlydo.com and tell us what it's related to so we could forward it to our programmers to see if that is possible.

one final point... If i run wodVPN on a windows
xp pro computer, can i connect to it from WM6 device
using the IP address that the vpn sets up etc

Dan,
wodVPN has to be ran on both sides (both peers). If you found a way to get wodVPN working on WM6 device, and to connect to client running WinXP, then it should work.
But as I stated in my last reply, as far as we know, wodVPN doesn't work on WM6 devices.
