Error after compile & install - WeOnlyDo Discussion board

Hi,

I bought a new development machine, installed and registered VB6 and all the controls including wodsmtp and wodsftp.

I compiled my project and created a setup file. After the user installs it and tries to run the program, they get the following error:

Failed to load control 'wodSMTP' from wodSmtp.ocx. Your version of wodSmtp.ocx may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.

I am redistributing wodsmtp.ocx from my windowssystem32 folder which is the component I am using in my VB6 project.

Not sure where to go from here, can anyone help ?

Hi John,

Just to make sure, did you re-import the component into the project?

Also, are you sure that you're not using Trial version? Did installer ask you to provide License Key when you installed the component?
